Trying to figure out how to use SONOS JUMPTOINDEX CMD
Hi,

I'm trying to get the JUMPTOINDEX CMD for Sonos to work.
I receive all tracks within the Queue in the GUI, and when I press it doesn't send a ID, instead it sends the title off course.

How do I re-calculate the tracks within the queue to IDs to be able to press a title within the queue list and the play it?

This happens now when I press a track in the list:

This is from my LOG:
Code:
19:18:43.488 - mremote: serial join 4008 wildcard-matched at index 8 (arg: I'll Be All Yours)
19:18:43.492 - parser: parsing sequence: <SONOS><JUMPTOINDEX=I'll Be All Yours></SONOS>
19:18:43.493 - parser: command: SONOS - JUMPTOINDEX=I'll Be All Yours
19:18:43.502 - parser: reply sequence: <SONOS>JUMPTOINDEX=|OK</SONOS>

I can see that the index is "8", but how to use it?

Everything can be done, there is just different ways to achieve it!!!

RE: Trying to figure out how to use SONOS JUMPTOINDEX CMD
Is there any way for this?

For example if I use the formatting %l, I receive the total number of titles in the list:

Code:
12.21.55 - Send:
<SONOS><GETALLTITLESOFQUEUE{%lc}></SONOS>

12.21.55 - Response:
<SONOS>GETALLTITLESOFQUEUE{%lc}=(60)|Can't Believe It (feat. Pitbull)|M
irrors|Hall of Fame|Only Time - Original Version|Some Nights|Feel This
Moment|Cruise|Young, Wild & Free - feat. Bruno Mars|Play Hard (feat. Ne
-Yo & Akon) [New Edit]|Levels - Radio Edit|Other Side Of Love|Albatraoz
|Scream & Shout - Dirty / Main|Viva La Vida|Try|TKO|Whistle|Blurred Lin
es|All of Me|Love More|Read All About It, Pt. III|Timber|The Monster|Wa
ke Me Up|Tsunami - Original Mix|Wrecking Ball|Work B**ch|Let Her Go|Sai
l|Roar|I Need Your Love|Holy Grail|Dark Horse|Can't Hold Us - feat. Ray
Dalton|Burn|HeadBand (feat. 2 Chainz)|Titanium (feat. Sia)|Tom Ford|I
Luv This Shit|Crooked Smile|Can't Remember to Forget You|LOST IN THE EC
HO|Numb/Encore|Sun Is Up - Play & Win Radio Edit|More Than Friends|Sun
Is Up - Play & Win Radio Edit|What I've Done|Let It Go|OMG!|Trumpets|Sa
y Something|Rather Be (feat. Jess Glynne)|Shot me Down (feat. Skylar Gr
ey) - Radio Edit|Kids (2 Finger an den Kopf)|Sail|Got 2 Luv U - feat. A
lexis Jordan|Limbo|Sei Con Me (There For Me)|Shower|OK</SONOS>

Is there any way to build a index based number for each title in a list, and the start that specific track to play on the Sonos player?

Thanks!

Hi Jamel,

I didn't know how you build the command to get this:

<SONOS><JUMPTOINDEX=I'll Be All Yours></SONOS>

If you work with \# try to use \& at this place.

RE: Trying to figure out how to use SONOS JUMPTOINDEX CMD
Hello,

I mean, If I send command: <SONOS><JUMPTOINDEX=8></SONOS>, it starts playing the song.

But when I ask Sonos for the songs in a playlist I receive the title names, or artist name, or Album names, there is no option to ask for the ID number.

I know how to count the songs in a list, I just put the %lc tagger behind the command then I receive the amount of tracks, but how to put the numbers in front of each track to be able to create a list in mremote?

example:

Send:
<SONOS><GETALLTITLESOFPLAYLIST=Thailand{%lc%??}></SONOS>

Response: (would it be possible to receive something like this?)
<SONOS>GETALLTITLESOFPLAYLIST=Can't Believe It (feat. Pitbull),1|Only Time - Original Version,2|Some Nights,3|Feel This Moment|Cruise,4|Young, Wild & Free - feat.Bruno Mars,5|Play Hard (feat. Ne-Yo & Akon) [New Edit],6|OK</SONOS>

If so, I would be able to create a Queue list int the GUI, and if I press one of the songs in the Queue the ID of that song will be sent in the JUMPTOINDEX command and start playing that songSmile

RE: Trying to figure out how to use SONOS JUMPTOINDEX CMD
Hi Jamel,

if you're working with lists in mremote.csv, you can use the \& placeholder exactly like mike described.
You normally use \# in the action of the simulated serial join to handle the strings (titles) of the list.
But in your case you don't want the title but the (list-)index of the title. Assuming you've already set up the title list in mremote, the only thing you need to do is to set <SONOS><JUMPTOINDEX=\&></SONOS> as action for the simulated serial join and you're done.
